Maxor understands the needs of correctional systems to provide high quality and cost-effective pharmacy services to its inmates. As important, Maxor recognizes that not all correctional jurisdictions find outsourcing their pharmacy services to be their best option. Our approach to providing pharmacy management services is to offer the expertise and assistance needed to help an organization develop a pharmacy program that is sustainable from within, rather than being increasingly reliant on outsourced providers. 

Over the last four decades, Maxor has developed a national reputation for delivering high quality, efficient service and outstanding customer support. Maxor's team is dedicated, professionally competent and experienced in managing complex health care operations, including those required by correctional pharmacy systems. Maxor’s experienced team of employees and consultants have helped many organizations by providing detailed road maps that guide the organization through the improvement process. We pride ourselves on our ability to continually develop proactive and innovative approaches to manage cost, improve quality of care processes and increase access to services.  Most recently, Maxor was selected to assess and implement needed improvements to the California state prison pharmacy program (click here for more information on this project).

Maxor’s involvement with correctional healthcare management started in the mid-1980’s with the appointment of its Chairman, Jerry Hodge to the Texas Board of Corrections. Jerry was instrumental in leading the Texas prison system healthcare program out from under federal court supervision and implementing major initiatives that continue to return dividends to this day. Building on that foundation, Maxor has built a correctional pharmacy management team that includes members with decades of distinguished federal, state, local, and private sector correctional experience. Our experience includes all aspects of correctional healthcare including the management of clinical, operational and administrative components of pharmacy service delivery.
