Tom Gibbons
As President of Gateway Health Partners, Tom oversees the largest independent provider of rebate and formulary management services, specialty, and retail pharmacy networks.
Tom has more than 35 years of pharmacy industry experience and has served in executive leadership positions at two Fortune 10 companies. Prior to his role as President, Tom served as Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Trade Officer at Gateway Health Partners.
Tom has extensive retail pharmacy, PBM, and supply chain experience. As SVP, Retail Network Administration at Caremark, Tom led all aspects of negotiation, management, and performance tracking across 65,000 network pharmacies; and as SVP of Managed Care and Payer Relations for CVS Retail and Omnicare he led all components for negotiation and contracting on behalf of approximately 10,000 CVS pharmacies and 97% of CVS filled prescriptions. Previous roles include CEO of InsideRx and Vice President of Wholesale Markets and Consumer Solutions at Express Scripts/Cigna.
Originally a Pharmacist by trade, Tom began his career as a retail Pharmacist within the St. Barnabas Healthcare System and went on to lead pharmacy IT system development.
Tom earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Rutgers University.
